This delightful box is made of striking Purple Heart wood with Baltic Birch plys and Maple handles. It measures 8 inches wide by 4.5 inches high by 2 3/4 inches deep. Purple Heart, not surprisingly is descriptive of the actual color of the wood. It is not stained, what you see is the natural wood color. It should be kept out of the sun or the color will fade fairly quickly. As with all brightly colored wood, over an extended period of time the wood will gradually darken.
