    Alan Johnson

    pinstriper, painter

When I'm asked how to learn Pinstriping or lettering I say "Just get the brush and play ." - Alan

In 1968 Alan began his career as an Art Director in New York City advertising agency. By 1974 he decided that the commercial art world was not for him and moved his family to the country and started his own business which still thrives after over 35 years. His east coast studio is a restored barn and gristmill built in 1825 located in northwest New Jersey.

When in Colorado, Alan works in his Loveland studio sketching and painting in bold color impressions of the enchanting southwestern landscapes. His experimental painting techniques and unusual color sense are utilized in his fine art painting of a spiritual nature.

Alan has been so successful as an independent custom auto artist and pinstriper, he is continually being sought after for his vast experience and knowledge of antique, classic and custom automotive pinstriping details.

He is able to remain independent, creating award winning masterpieces that adorn vintage auto and boat restoration projects, which appear in museums and private collections all over the country. He is a consultant for automotive paint manufacturers He has created his own line of signature brushes and written a how-to book on pinstriping.

    Rebecca Adams

"I think the true beauty in art is found when we start looking at the ordinary just a little bit differently, even if it is in our own back yard." - Rebecca

I was raised in Colorado and was blessed enough to live on the edge of a state park growing up. I learn to be a spotter of wildlife at a young age and if it moved, I saw it!  It wasn't until 5 yrs ago when I bought my first used DLSR camera that I realized that spotting wildlife everywhere was a rare thing. I was awakened to the idea this gift might bring joy to others. I started carrying my camera everywhere with me, often doing a 10-mile loop on my way home just to see what I could find.

The Passion of taking pictures locally filled my heart and quickly grew into a second career. Wanderlust quickly took over, and I've been able to take some amazing trips in hopes to capture things that not everybody gets a chance to see.

Photography for me is a blessing and a gift. I have the pleasure of taking pictures of animals, beautiful places and also people.

    Byron Williamson

    clay artist

"I believe that art is about being awake. Being in the present to be aware of possibilities" - Byron

Byron Williamson received his B.F.A. in painting from Northwest Missouri State University in 1986. He went on to be a public school teacher for 25 years, painting in his spare time. In 2007, he began to use ceramics to create his paintings in 3-D.  Come in and enjoy his sense of design and humor!  His fish are collected and treasured, and each is exquisitely handpainted.  One of a kind creations!

Some examples of his vibrant, fun “Fish” series.

    Evi Buckner-Opler

    wood carver

"You are as limited as you think you are! "- Evi

My father was a very talented and trained sculptor, who started his woodcarving career in Oberammergau, Germany, and ended his training at the Academy of Arts in Munich. He died in 1957, when I was a little girl. About 25 years ago, my mom gave me his woodcarving gouges which she had kept all those years, as I was making wooden signs, albeit mostly with a router.  I never had the desire nor time to do anything with those special tools, until my husband and I accidentally visited a woodcarving show in Loveland, CO. The Northern Colorado Woodcarving Club had their annual show and invited me to their club meeting the following Tuesday... the rest is history: I have enjoyed carving ever since!

I started carving with bass wood. In spring 2013, a member presented a cottonwood bark carving demonstration at the monthly meeting ... and I was hooked. Cottonwood Bark is such a fun and versatile material and I better live a few more lifetimes with all the wood I have found and collected in the past two years. I truly love to create cottonwood bark cottages, inspired by the old castles I grew up with in Germany, letting the wood tell me, my gouges, what to carve next. There never is a set design, I choose a piece of wood and start carving, no drawing, just see what happens, what develops!
