Do you feel like you need to just get away for a few hours and play with paint? Do you want to learn how to be fearless and embrace your creative voice? This mixed media abstract collage class is a fun, no-pressure start down your artistic journey. We will cover some basic mixed media techniques as well as take time to explore and play with acrylic paint, oil pastels, pencils, and stencils. We will explore mark making and layering, and we will embrace our abstract mind by playing with color and composition. If you are a beginner, no worries! This class is for anyone who wants to learn basic mixed media collage techniques. If you are more advanced, that’s awesome! This class is all about letting loose and having fun, plus I share some of my own art-making processes, so if that sounds like fun, come join us!
Note: this class is a technique-based class, so the photo is an example of techniques learned in the class. Each student’s work will look different. Age 10 and up are welcome!
