I enjoy creating character studies emphasizing emotion or feelings. I have created this study several times, each a little different. It's a pose that reminds us all of our own personal times of quiet reflection. This study of an older gentleman perhaps drinking his morning coffee while his thoughts are miles away, creates a sense of calm contemplation. My painting has been created in soft pastel on archival paper measuring 19x19 and has been framed to 22x23 overall.
