The Artist's Way by Jullia Cameron is a book about "unlocking your capacity for creativity, whether in art, work, or life". It was first published in 1992 and has "inspired millions to overcome the limiting beliefs and fears that can inhibit the creative process". I went through the book in a book club in 2014 and loved it. It was so helpful to my personal creative journey.
This book is for anyone that is creative - or wants to be more creative: writers, hobbyists, jewelers, painters, photographers, cooks, gardeners, etc. If you love creativity, you will enjoy this. At its core, it teaches us how to LET ourselves be creative.
The book is divided into 12 chapters with the intention to spend 1 week on each lesson. Every week, we will meet to discuss the lesson, share insights, and how our "creative tasks" went. On week 13, I'd like to close the class with a creative art project.
This class meets on Thursday's from 1-4pm and will last 13 weeks. If you miss one week or we have bad weather, I will record it on Zoom.
You will need to purchase your own copy of the book before the class begins (available in paperback, ebook, and audio). You will also need a journal and a pen.
