Su Wang, instructor

Saturday, April 27th, 2024 from 2:30 - 4:30 PM In Person at Blue Moose Art Gallery.

In the over 2000-year history of Chinese painting, food and domestic life have been frequent themes of creation. Fruits or flowers often appear on branches or in fruit baskets. In this class, we will incorporate both into the same painting.

Cherries are one of the rare and colorful fruits from spring to summer, with vibrant hues complemented by the tender green of their leaves, symbolizing spring. We will use traditional rice paper and brushes to create Chinese-style freehand cherries.
