Fringe is just fun, and these fringed earrings are great to wear every day! This fun jewelry making workshop is perfect for any level and you will leave with a great gift - or gift for yourself!
We will shape and forge bronze, copper or silver filled wire to create fringe paddles, in the metal of your choice, or mix up the metals! Sterling silver will be available for an additional charge at the workshop.
We will cover how to use basic metalsmithing tools, and how shaping and forming of metals can be done using forging on bench blocks, anvils and mandrels. Then we will make handmade earwires and properly finish your earrings which you will take home.
Materials and tools will be supplied. Just bring your imagination! Ages 13 and up.
Please wear closed toe shoes. This is close up detail work, please bring any magnification eyewear you might typically use for such work. You can also bring any personal jewelry making tools that you prefer to use and beads you might want to incorporate into your hoops.
