This super fun workshop will teach you the basics of making a custom ring set. Perfect for the beginner wanting to get into metalsmithing however all skill levels are welcome from total beginner to advanced.
In this class, you will learn how to measure, cut, solder, shape, and finish wire into different styles of rings. You will also learn how to add texture and patina to make them unique and personal. You will leave with beautiful finished rings that you can wear with pride or gift to someone special.
This class is perfect for anyone who loves jewelry, creativity, and fun. It’s also a great way to meet new friends and have fun in a supportive and friendly environment.
Materials and tools will be supplied. Students will be able to choose wire metal type (silver, copper or bronze) for 3 rings, and customize with texture. Just bring your imagination!
If you enjoy the class, we offer other jewelry classes where you will have the opportunity to come back and continue your metalsmithing journey! Ages 13 and up.
Please wear closed toe shoes. This is close up detail work, please bring any magnification eyewear you might typically use for such work.
Please note that we do know that things come up, so our class cancellation policy reasonably accommodates our valuable customers and is respectful of our instructors’ time and effort to prepare for and purchase materials for classes. We ask that if you must reschedule, please do so as far in advance as possible. Cancellations within 24 Hours prior: forfeits class fee, and no show forfeits class fee. If class minimum size is not met within two days prior to class, the instructor or gallery reserves the right to cancel the class. Students will be notified by phone and given full class credit. These students will be contracted first if the class is rescheduled.
