His Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering informs his appreciation for precision, structural integrity, and craftsmanship. Inspired by his father, a fellow woodturner, Good began turning wood in December 2023. This family connection to the craft and a lifelong love of the outdoors shapes his creative vision. Working with locally sourced Colorado hardwoods and select woods from the southeastern United States, Good crafts both classic profiles and distinct live-edge vessels, often allowing the tree's original form to remain an essential element of the finished work. Rather than imposing a predetermined design, he responds dynamically to the grain, spalting, inclusions, and natural character of each piece, allowing the material to tell its own story. Good creates and hand-finishes each work in his woodshop on his mountain property. His one-of-a-kind works unite function and sculpture, honoring the wood’s history and preserving the quiet beauty of the forest.
