This class will cover how to fabricate your own textured pendant or earrings! In this all levels class you will use your imagination and play with different methods of texturing metal, and how to fabricate a beautiful finished piece.
No experience is required, we will cover how to use basic metalsmithing tools, and a variety of items to texture metal including:
Rolling Mill or embossing machine:
Texturing hammers
Hammering with common household items
Texturing with stamps
And others!
We will also discuss how shaping and forming of metals can be done using dapping blocks, forging on stakes and anvils and mandrels... etc etc etc!! Last, we will cover how to properly finish your piece which you will take home.
Materials and tools will be supplied. Just bring your imagination!
