This piece is framed behind non glare glass, with a plein-air style frame. It measures, 20 inch tall by 17 inches wide, created in soft pastels using 400 grit paper. I painted this piece after walking around Lake Irene on a late spring day. This is a favorite place of mine, it is located in Rocky Mountain National Park and not too far from the visitors center at the top of trail ridge road. When you are up in this alpine tundra area it is like you are a million miles away from civilization and the pristine quality of nature abounds! I have seen many moose, deer and elk. But mostly have soaked up the healing power of nature. Hope this painting does this for you as well.
