Julie Leidel, Gouache and Acrylics

Julie truly found her artistic voice when she discovered the Arts & Crafts Movement. Many of her paintings are influenced by the metal, glass, ceramic, and wood textures of that 1880-1920 era. Julie grew up in Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University in 1997 with a degree in graphic design and worked as a graphic designer, photographer, and user interface designer for many years. She began working full-time as an artist in 2013. Julie exhibits her artwork nationally at 16-20 fine art festivals and shows annually. In 2016, Julie was accepted as a Roycroft Renaissance Artisan. She was a featured artist of the year in American Bungalow Magazine and has been featured in The Colorado Tourism Guide, 5280 Magazine, and Western Art & Architecture. She's a member of the Evergreen Artists Association and Foothills Art Center and is an active board member for the Colorado Arts & Crafts Society. She spends much of her time in her mountain art studio with her loving husband and two children in Evergreen, Colorado.
