Melaura began her jewelry passion about 15 years ago. Her hobby became her work after a few years of collecting too many beads for one person to manage. She opened a bead shop in Narragansett, Rhode Island. For about three years, she and her husband enjoyed and taught bead art. Then they chose to close up shop to relocate to Fort Collins. For the past 10 years, she has hoarded beads, raised three kids, and earned a degree in Cultural Anthropology at CSU, all while continuing to experiment with beads and jewelry. She loves to create her own designs but also likes putting custom pieces together for others. After all, what do you do with a loft-full of beads?
