Valerie was an elementary school teacher for 31 years. After retiring, it was time to forge a new path. She began taking art classes, returning to a life-long dream. After trying pastels and watercolor classes, she found an art program in Botanical Illustration. It was a match! She enjoys working in ink and colored pencil to share details with the subject she is painting. Her favorite place to be is in the wild. She hopes you enjoy the little pieces of nature she has painted.
