Pine needle basket with accents of obsidian, carnelian, moss agate, and glass beads. Svartsengi is a functional and decorative basket inspired by the 2024 volcanic eruptions in southern Iceland. The forms created with the pine needle weaving, colors, and bead accents mimic the ever-changing flows of the lava. The moss agate along the base of the basket represent the moss-covered terrain the fresh lava flows across. Approx. 10x5x3
