Buff Pass Trail – Steamboat Springs, Colorado
This piece captures a quiet mountain trail on Buff Pass, just above where my family once lived at the base of the National Forest. I often hiked up the mountain to photograph and study the shifting light filtering through the trees. Painted with heavy-bodied acrylics and palette knives, each stroke is marbled with vibrant color and texture.
