Indian Mandala

This Native American mandala features a bear footprint (or paw print); the image of the bear print within a circle was regarded as a sacred marker of guidance and strength and was often used in ceremonies and healing rituals. Native American mandalas are often made of deer skin leather, various feathers, beads, or rabbit skin. I created this drawing from a Mandala that is displayed in our home. The drawing measures only 4.5 x 4.5 and is framed to 7x7 overall.
