Growing up near Wyoming’s wilderness, I spent my childhood summers scanning the trees for a glimpse of a bear, fascinated by their elusive nature. Today, my admiration is drawn toward the mama bears. Their lives are a constant balance of vigilance and fierce love, always scanning the environment to protect their young. "The Wait" captures that quiet, heavy moment of anticipation—a mother observing a prime location from the safety of the trees, holding back until the exact second it is safe to move.
