Take your needle-felting skills to the next level. This class is designed for students who have felted several beginning projects and are totally comfortable using felting needles and different types of wool. We will concentrate on making different armatures (wire skeletons) for a variety of different creatures, and initial steps for wrapping armatures with wool. Students will learn the principles of creating basic armatures (for example, birds; four-legged animals such as dogs, bears, frogs etc.). We will then expand to more involved armatures including a giraffe, humanoids, and hatchling dragons. The goal of this class is not leaving with a completed project, but developing the skills to create your own armatures for more advanced projects.
What to bring: Your creativity! You may also bring a project in process for advice
Ages 13+ welcome. All supplies included. Additional materials will be available to purchase additional supplies to take home after class
