Monday, March 16th, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Blue Moose Art Gallery

Students will explore art the way designers do — with a strong focus on design, color, and creativity while creating original patterned artwork inspired by fashion and product design.

Artists will work on watercolor paper, drawing bird and cat silhouettes and filling them with imaginative patterns using colored pencils, watercolor paint, mixed media techniques, and whimsical wallpaper books for inspiration in texture, color, and design ideas. For students who prefer extra support, traceable bird and cat forms will be provided, allowing everyone to focus on creative design rather than drawing accuracy. Students may pursue other subjects of their choice as time permits.

Ages 5+ | All supplies included
Parents are welcome to stay and create alongside students ages 8 and under. Adults are welcome to join in the fun!

This class helps students:

Think creatively and confidently

Explore color, pattern, and texture design

Build skills used in fashion, product, and surface design

Develop focus, detail, and artistic decision-making

Students will create three to four keepsake cards (time permitting), each complete with envelopes, perfect for framing or giving as gifts, while gaining creative skills they can use well beyond spring break.

All supplies included. No experience needed.
