Tuesday, March 17th, 2026 from 1:00-3:30pm at the Blue Moose Art Gallery

In this Spring Break class, students will bring their panda character from Part One to life by painting it onto an 11×14, 100% cotton canvas tote bag—a functional keepsake they can use for many years to come or gift to a loved one.

To keep the focus on creativity and painting (not drawing stress), each bag will begin with a light pencil sketch of the panda. Students will be guided step-by-step through the painting process using acrylic paint, allowing their individual style, color choices, and personality to shine through as they complete this two-part series. No prior painting experience is needed, and every tote will be wonderfully unique.

For younger students or those who may prefer a simpler approach, there is a freestyle option available. These artists are welcome to design their own bag at their ability level using fun elements such as hearts, stars, circles, butterflies, leaves, and their name—still creating something special and personal.

Please note that we will be painting with acrylic paint, and students should wear clothing appropriate for a painting class.

Parents are warmly invited to join, and this class is also open to adults who think it sounds fun—grandparents included. This is a relaxed, joyful class designed to celebrate creativity at every age.

I’m so excited to see the different color variations and creative interpretations that come out of this super fun painting class.

Space is limited to 12 students, and classes may fill quickly. If this session is full and you’d like to participate, please contact us to request another class—we may be able to add a similar session based on interest.
