I painted this piece after I snapped a few photos on a beautiful winter walk in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. I am fortunate to live close to this park and visit it in all seasons, but winter is one of my favorite times due to the amazing lighting of the sun on the snow and the mountain shadows. I painted it using soft pastel on sanded paper in 9x12 size.
