Sandhill cranes are loved by everyone across this country. Their magical calls can be heard from miles away.  It a joy to watch these majestic birds perform their dance and they are quite breathtaking when they fly overhead.  It is said that Sandhill Cranes mate for life and may live up to 40 years. Every year, tens of thousands of cranes migrate across the United States. A pair of cranes will return to the same nesting ground each spring to raise their colts. Sandhill Cranes are among the world’s oldest living birds and have outlasted millions of species. The elegance of the cranes has inspired people of all cultures.by Shirley Robinett at Blue Moose Art Gallery
