Cindy designs fused glass jewelry using both bulls-eye and dichroic glass. Dichroic glass has multiple ultra-thin layers of different metals like gold or silver. Oxides of various metals or silica are vaporized by an electron beam in a vacuum chamber, resulting in vibrant colors. Two or more layers of glass are then melted together at high temperatures with beautiful results that can be incorporated into jewelry pieces. Cindy spends many hours in her basement studio making jewelry. Her stockpile of glass and nature, watercolors, stained glass windows and anything with vibrant color combinations inspires her.
