Diane grew up in California in Marin County and after college moved to the Napa Valley. She spent 30 years teaching group fitness classes which was her creative outlet because she made up all of my own “routines.” Now she combines her joy of teaching with her love of art by teaching watercolor classes at a gallery in Napa, The Blue Goose Gallery in California, and with private lessons in her backyard art studio. For as long as she can remember, Diane has been drawing, doodling, and crafting, but she never really explored art beyond that until her children were older and she had more time to devote to painting. Her paintings are mostly of wildlife; birds are her favorite subject, but she also enjoys painting butterflies, dragonflies, and other animals, mixing realism and abstraction with touches of whimsy. Diane also creates small art gifts with her paintings on them, including mirrors, magnets, boxes, trivets, and coasters.
