Melanie has been creating and selling fun and whimsical pieces of art since she was two years old. As a child, Melanie and her sister regularly played “Craft Store” using a plastic play telephone, coloring books, markers, and crayons. Over the years, transforming her childhood imaginary arts and crafts business into a real one became her mission and eventually led to the evolution of Forever Hearts & Crafts. Now a few decades later, and using slightly more advanced techniques than crayons and coloring books, Melanie uses upcycled and repurposed containers, such as old and antique vases, candy dishes, perfume bottles, candle holders, picture frames, and many other materials such as wire, felt, and fabric to create highly unique, cheerful works of art. She has been happily creating and selling her original art in local stores and at many annual craft fairs throughout the state of Colorado for more than 15 years.
