Let's celebrate moose and other wildlife this September!
Attend the showcase event to see artist demos, enjoy refreshments and door prizes, and - of course - experience new artwork celebrating moose and friends.
Danielle Kubicek, Photography
Molly Box (Sale), Mixed Media, Oil Painting
Ruth Hand (Sale), Ceramics
Celeste Havener, Wire and Mixed Media
Danielle is a landscape and wildlife photographer. She has a deep love for travel and animals. Through her photos, Danielle wants to share her love of wildlife so that others will feel inspired to help preserve nature.
During the Friday event, Danielle will share a slide show for "Introduction to Photography" that will discuss different lenses, types of photography, what makes a good photo and camera settings.
Molly is best-known for her signature mixed media drawings and oil paintings of North American wildlife and fish/fly-fishing themed work. Her mixed media drawings are a unique blend of inks, paint, markers, pen, pencil, and/or pastel. She uses mediums that are alcohol, oil, and water-based to create different textures on mylar (a semi-translucent, plastic-y drawing surface).
During the demo, she will be working on a mixed media moose. You can also get 15% off Molly Box pieces during the event.
Celeste grew up drawing horses on any surface she could find. As time went on, she became an artist working with wire and found objects to create sculptures of moose, bison, pronghorn, and horses. She takes inspiration from the animals and landscapes around me.
Ruth makes functional pottery pieces that are fun. She works predominately with porcelain for its texture and bright white color, but sometimes she enjoys venturing into darker clays.
During the event, Ruth will share a display of the steps involved in making a mug, maybe do some hand building, and underglaze painting. Ruth will also be offering 10% off her work during the demo.
