Celebrate summer through color, texture, and layered mixed media in Bloom & Flutter: Summer Garden! Inspired by an original gift piece, students will create a whimsical butterfly nestled among echinacea and soft summer wildflowers in a dreamy, expressive garden setting.
Using a mix of pencil, acrylic, watercolor, black ink, and palette knives, you'll learn step-by-step techniques to combine washes, bold linework, splatter, and rich impasto texture. While guided through each stage, this workshop prioritizes creative freedom—feel free to customize your colors, flower placement, and design details to make a piece uniquely yours.
· Bonus: Time permitting, students can start a second freelance piece to practice new techniques and explore alternative color palettes.
· Skill Level: Beginner-friendly; no prior experience required. Advanced artists can focus on deeper layering and mixed-media techniques.
· Ages: 12+ welcome with an accompanying adult.
· Included: All supplies provided, including palette knives and mixed-media materials.

Please note that we do know that things come up and cancellations may be necessary. We ask that if you must reschedule, please do so as far in advance as possible. Cancellations within 48 Hours prior forfeit the class fee, and no show forfeits the class fee. Our class cancellation policy helps us cover the costs of reserving your spot, preparing for the class, and paying our instructors, since it can be difficult to fill a vacancy close to the class date. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for supporting our small business.
If the class’s minimum size is not met within 2 days before the class, the instructor or the gallery reserves the right to cancel the class. Students will be notified by phone and given full class credit. These students will be contacted first if the class is rescheduled.
