Just in time for that special Holiday gift--or to keep for yourself--this class will give you a variety of felting technical skills You will learn how to make dimensional, seamless felt, and get pointers on some really fun surface designs. Each pair of mittens will reflect the colors and textures you like best. Students should have some wet-felting experience.
Your instructor, Deb Tewell, has been a vendor at the Salida Fiber Festival since just about the very beginning and brings with her years of felting experience and teaching others how to felt.
This workshop has been developed to allow for as much individuality as possible so each student will be able to focus on techniques and creativity. With step-by-step instructional handouts, they will be able to take their learning beyond the classroom to create more felted projects on their own at home.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring an old towel. Bring a lunch or plan to go out quickly.
