Original Mixed Media Collage, 11 inches x 8 inches framed behind UV conservation glass.
I created this piece using watercolors, acrylics, kosher salt, cinquefoil flowers and parakeet feathers.
This captures a quiet moment as two sandhill cranes stroll gracefully through the grass and flower blossoms, their long legs moving with elegant ease. These majestic birds, known for their lifelong pair bonds and elaborate courtship dances, often forage together in open fields or gardens, searching for seeds, insects, and small creatures. Sandhill cranes can live over 20 years in the wild, and their presence brings a sense of peace and timelessness to any scene. This image reflects their quiet companionship and the serene beauty of nature when we pause long enough to notice.
