Inspired by a larger piece from my Fort Collins "Just Breathe" collection, this relaxed acrylic painting class breaks down a detailed landscape into an approachable 11x14 canvas.
Students will paint a scenic landscape featuring rolling green hills, reflective water, aspens, a wildflower meadow, and a single black horse. Using both brushes and palette knives, you'll learn guided step-by-step layering techniques to build rich texture in the grasses and flowers. Rather than focusing on fine detail, this session emphasizes expressive color, movement, and personal creative freedom.
· Skill Level: Open to all levels—no prior experience required. A traceable horse pattern is provided so you can focus entirely on painting.
· Ages: 12+ (younger participants welcome with an accompanying adult).
· Included: All materials provided, including an 11x14 canvas and palette knife.
Come unwind, experiment with texture, and paint your own version of Wild Heart!
Please note that we do know that things come up and cancellations may be necessary. We ask that if you must reschedule, please do so as far in advance as possible. Cancellations within 48 Hours prior forfeit the class fee, and no show forfeits the class fee. Our class cancellation policy helps us cover the costs of reserving your spot, preparing for the class, and paying our instructors, since it can be difficult to fill a vacancy close to the class date. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for supporting our small business.
If the class’s minimum size is not met within 2 days before the class, the instructor or the gallery reserves the right to cancel the class. Students will be notified by phone and given full class credit. These students will be contacted first if the class is rescheduled.
