Wings of Fire is a framed giclee print of the original mixed media collage of two sandhill cranes. To create the original I used cattlemarkers, watercolor, coffee, cotoneaster leaves, wild oats & grasses, blue mustard flower blossoms and legally harvested feathers. (Framed size 12 inch x 15 inch)
Renowned for their lifelong pair bonds, Sandhill Cranes often live up to 40 years. Each spring, pairs return to their familiar nesting grounds to raise their young, known as colts. Every year, tens of thousands of cranes embark on a remarkable migration across the United States, showcasing their enduring connection to the land and the seasons. Observing these incredible birds in their annual journey is a true joy for nature lovers.
