Cristina has been drawing and painting since she was a child. Coming from a family of artists, she was greatly influenced by her grandmother, an artist by profession. Cristina would sit by her and observe as she painted in quiet afternoons. That paved her way to a love of art: she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Visual Communications from the University of the Philippines. Her art career took a backseat after college when she represented the Philippines in an international beauty pageant in Merida, Mexico. There, her skills as an artist became evident when she won an honorary talent award for a painting in honor of the Spanish Art Master, Francisco Goya. Coming back from that competition, her career shifted to news and broadcasting as a newscaster, but she have never left her desire to pursue her love of art. Now based here in Colorado with her husband and daughter and working full-time as a mortgage banking underwriter, Cristina dabbles with her art on the weekends while enjoying the scenery here in beautiful Colorado.
