Lynn Monthei moved from Iowa to Fort Collins in the 1980s. What started as a hobby in silversmithing turned into a thriving career. Lynn is a master Goldsmith and Silversmith, renowned for his unique approach to jewelry design: letting the stone lead the way. Rather than imposing a preconceived design, Lynn allows each individual stone's character to dictate the final piece. His designs accentuate the gemstone’s unique contours. The metalwork is never simply a frame but a compliment, designed to enhance the stone it encases. His work has been featured at the Blue Moose Gallery for many years.
