Mike’s art is both precise and loose, and his affinity for both styles first appeared when teaching automotive custom paint at WYOTECH, an automotive technical school in Laramie Wyoming. Mike often would demonstrate painting automotive panels with a strict format for students to follow. He also would create a “for fun” panel. Pearls, metal flakes, transparent colors, and blends drive Mike’s love of automotive art. With just airbrush or spray gun, Mike can make an art piece come alive, without ever touching the surface. Mike developed his art through many years as an auto body paint technician, running a sign business with his wife Mary, and the many workshops and classes he has attended to develop his art. Mike lives with his wife, Mary, and dog, Eby, in Loveland, Colorado.
