Paula's interest in weaving was sparked long ago on a visit to New Mexico where she became fascinated by the works of indigenous and Chimayo weavers. That visit led to a 50-year exploration of the seemingly endless possibilities of creating woven fabric. Paula is a native of New Orleans who moved to Fort Collins in 2023. Her current obsession is extracting natural dyes; growing and collecting flowers and plants to dye her wool and silk yarns. This healing connection to the natural world underlies all her art and craft.
