Vicky Rees is a lifelong artist who loves exploring color, light, texture, and all the little surprises that come with making art. She works primarily in watercolor and other water media, but also enjoys oils, pastels, collage, and fiber. Her work ranges from representational to expressionistic and abstract, often inspired by flowers, plants, animals, still life, and the world around her.

Born in Germany to an Air Force family, Vicky moved frequently as a child and knew by age ten that she wanted to be an artist. She earned a BFA in Graphic Design from Arizona State University in 1983 and spent many years working as a graphic designer and illustrator. She later taught art to elementary students, which gave her the perfect excuse to keep learning, experimenting, and exploring new mediums and techniques.

Vicky currently lives in Fort Collins, where the beauty of nature continues to inspire her. For Vicky, making art is a joyful celebration of life—a way to share her perspective while inviting viewers to discover energy, nuance, and new ways of seeing the world.
