Alesa creates paintings using collage, acrylic paints, and a variety of techniques to create layers for florals and landscapes.
During her demo, she will show how she makes collage materials, creates background layers, and paints flowers free-hand and using stencils.
Linda will be bringing in some of her custom etched brass plates to talk about her jewelry-making process from pattern manipulation to transfer and etching and the final transfer to metal.
Steve creates a wide variety of shapes and sizes of jewelry boxes made from both domestic and exotic hardwoods.
He will be displaying the box making process during his demo. This will include "boxes" at various stages of their construction and various hand tools used in the construction process, as well as some finished boxes.
Tanya designs and produces a variety of hand-cut mosaics; some are traditional grouted and others are 2-d representations of the wildflowers of Colorado.
She will have a variety of pieces in different stages of the mosaic process and will do some simple work on one during her demo.
Martha makes highly decorated, functional pottery with a mandala motif on porcelain. She throws each piece on the pottery wheel, hand carves it, and decorates it either by painting or dotting. Each piece is fired at least three times to achieve a durable and beautiful finish.
Depending on the weather, for her demo, Martha will either be throwing pottery outside or painting/carving pottery inside.
Diana has an expressive form of art that includes bright colors, patterns, and joyful mark making. Her paintings have many layers & textures.
Diana will demo her artistic style, while sharing various techniques and examples.
Melanie transforms vases, candle holders, glass containers, and picture frames into unique, whimsical works of art. Each fun, cheerful, and colorful piece is complete with a bouquet of flowers made with metal springs (stems), felt, beads, and buttons.
Her demo will show how she puts together the flowers used to create the finished pieces of art.
Sarah’s artistic focus is translating her emotions, explicitly translating her memory and feelings relating to nature and culture. She specializes in abstract landscapes, florals, and non-representational paintings and collages.
For her demo, she will be painting an abstract floral or landscape.
